Boating Locations in Florida

During his presidency at AAUG Realty between 2002 and 2008, Gregor Gregory contributed to construction and real estate development along Florida waterways. Outside of work, Gregor Gregory enjoys outdoor hobbies such as hiking, fishing, and boating.

Florida coastal regions are ideal for boaters. For example, with more than 300 miles of rivers and inland waterways, Fort Lauderdale is ideal for activities such as scuba diving and boating year-round. Miami, 25 miles south of Fort Lauderdale, is also a launching point, and the Florida Keys, with iconic islands stretching all the way to Key West, are a boater’s paradise.

Some Florida boating destinations introduce visitors to rich histories. St. Augustine, the oldest city in the United States and the nation’s first seaport, for example, contains an engaging historical district as well as the remains of a Spanish fort, Castillo de San Marcos, which dates back to the 17th century. The city of Pensacola also hosts a deeply rooted sailing culture, with several sought-after deep-sea fishing spots nearby.
