Hiking Shark Valley

A financial professional and business leader in Hollywood, Florida, Gregor Gregory has served tenures as president of both AAUG Realty and Global Risk Alternatives. He has been director of the surety and property insurance company Northernlight since 2002. Outside of the workplace, Gregor Gregory is an avid outdoorsman who counts hiking among his favorite hobbies.

Located in the heart of the massive Florida Everglades, Shark Valley offers exceptional hiking relatively close to the city of Hollywood. This nature park features a main paved loop trail that covers 16 miles of freshwater wetlands, full of sawgrass slough and tree islands. The open and exposed nature of this trail enables hikers to easily spot giant alligators and other wildlife.

Other trails in Shark Valley include the Bobcat Boardwalk, which leads hikers straight through the sawgrass marsh. There’s also the Otter Cave Trail, which leads hikers over rough limestone, through tropical hardwood forestland, and over several water-crossing footbridges.
